Minsmere celebrates 75 years
One of Europe’s premier nature reserves – Minsmere, in Suffolk – celebrates its 75th birthday this year.

The RSPB first signed a management agreement at Minsmere on 25th April 1947. Shortly after, four pairs of Avocets Recurvirostra avosetta nested on the reserve, the first breeding in Britain for a century. Following a short hiatus, the species returned
